Alan Griffiths – Bachelor of Commerce-Bachelor of Laws(Honours), Master of Commerce(Professional Accounting)
As a Cairns resident for over 25 years, Alan knows the business environment in the Far North Queensland region and has experience working in many FNQ industries. He has also lived and worked in the UK and Germany, primarily in the fields of engineering and information technology.
Alan has been practising law since 2008 and has previously practiced as a fully qualified accountant, giving him an understanding of the issues facing business owners which is rare among lawyers. He has practiced in the fields of insolvency and tax accounting, and his experience in those fields is of particular benefit to his clients in a broad range of businesses.
Alan is the current Chair of the Board of Directors for the Dr Edward Koch Foundation, a charitable organisation raising awareness and support for mental health and suicide prevention.
In his spare time, Alan enjoys bushwalking, scuba diving and sailing.
